WaterWerks Car Wash

I have been coming to this place for 15 years. I knew it was going downhill a few years ago for level of service and care. Went back today for the first time and was shocked by the price changes. I have almost always gotten the Works. Where did the à la cart options go? It is hard to know what you are paying for and actually getting. It has changed a lot otherwise too, not having the ability to watch the whole process if you wanted. To get coffee or purchase snacks and greeting cards. The people connection, of course is still partially there. I know the workers on-site were working really hard, seemed like they may still be understaffed? The quality of the interior clean is still not what it once was. Parts of the dash and door came out dirtier than when I had entered. Back seats looked like they may have been missed. Floor mat rolled up on back seat. I hope it becomes what it once was. I can’t recommend it to folks anymore.

I’ve been a customer of Waterworks Car Wash in Golden Valley for years, and even through some of the recent changes to the business, I never stopped coming back. Like any business making adjustments, there have been transitions, but what has remained constant is the incredible effort and dedication of the team. I brought both of my vehicles in this week and was thrilled to see full-service back. Regardless of the services offered at any given time, I’ve always been impressed by how hard the employees work. The staff is friendly, professional, and genuinely takes pride in what they do. Running a car wash is demanding work, and the Waterworks team consistently puts in the effort to provide a great experience for their customers. Thank you to everyone there for your hard work, commitment, and excellent service. It’s appreciated more than you know.

No longer full service and no longer worth going to. It's weird to me that the owners seem to have no idea what it was their customers liked and why they were so loyal. It's twice as much as a very good automated wash at Crystal Collision and Car wash but not twice the value. And no, the "hand prep and wipedown" are not worth double. Their old model where it was actually more expensive had way more value because they cleaned the interior very well for a quick clean while I waited and hand dried the car. If I'm going to schedule a detail there are other detailers out there that I would use. If I just want a exterior wash, there are much better, cheaper options out there. So what is the reason to go there? None that can see. I wish them luck, but I would be surprised if they're still open a year from now because there literally no reason to go there.

This location changed from full service - exit the vehicle, they vacuum, run through wash, wipe down - to drive through in March 2026. While the lines were long, the high quality, personal touch of the full-service wash was excellent. Now it's sad. the wash system is the same, but without the PEOPLE who really cared about providing quality service. I tried the unlimited pass. I tried to cancel it but online services are not currently working. If they stick with this impersonal approach to what is my second most expensive investment - my car - I hope they figure out a tipping option. There are a handful of people left doing pre-spray down, a very fast wipe down (the machine is pulling cars through) and tire wipe down (this is optional). I would have gone the other way - brought in a food truck and niche coffee option. I bought my Volvo from Borton, just down the street, and this was the only full-service wash facility that knew how to get the auto wipers turned off and the car in neutral. I miss the people. 5 stars before, 2 stars after the change.

DO NOT GO! NOT FULL SERVICE! This place is an utter disappointment. Read the most recent comments and pay attention to the defensive replies from the business. I paid $29 for a car wash. My car was barely sprayed with water before entering the automated car wash due to them focusing on the cars in the front and back of me. Customers struggled to either read the signs on what to do and/or move their vehicles through a tight space. The towel dryers at the end barely did anything. I still had soap and water all over my luxury car. I paid for tire dressing and they forgot to put it on despite the sign on my dash. You pay for a service and they don't do it. I did give this place a 5 star review in the past when it was decent and full service. Now its a shell of what it was and not anywhere near worth the price point. No signs of improvement based on the replies. You're better off going to Misters or Crews because they atleast have vacuums and do the work you paid for.
